Vinyl Story Time.

I like stories. An-ywayyy I'm sure I've made it abundantly clear that Guns N' Roses is my favorite band. It goes all the way back to 1987 when I first heard the Appetite For Destruction cassette. In those days records and tapes were primary mediums for listening to music.

When CDs came on the scene in the late '80's like most folks I purged those "old records" and jumped on the Compact Disc bandwagon. But I kept one. If you've read this far you know which one. It smells funky, the jacket has more creases than the pants at Moores, there's a major skip between Anything Goes and Rocket Queen and Doug Jones' name is written on the inner sleeve. I've since upgraded to the remastered double LP with the hologram on side 4. I also have the version with the original banned cover. But I'll never get rid of "Number One." It's been with me through breakups, hangovers and often has been one of few constants in my life. There were times when this record was my only friend. I'll be buried with this. 🤟💀
